It is the identical formula in a plain bottle. The continuous mist sprayer is the expensive part of the original and it does not wear out, so after the first bottle you never need to pay for another one. Buy the sprayer once. Refill it from then on.
What it costs

What it does
Adds slip, so the comb passes instead of catching and pulling. Holds moisture in the strand rather than letting it go an hour after washing. Softens, and takes the frizz down. It is for the strand, not the scalp: if your problem is a tight or flaking scalp, that is the serum and this will not touch it.
One sprayer instead of five
Five refills is five bottles of liquid and one sprayer, rather than five of each. Less plastic in your bathroom and less of it in the price.
Worth knowing before you buy
It contains hydrolysed silk, so if you screen out protein this is not for you. Rosemary and peppermint oils are in it too. Decant it into your existing bottle, or use it straight from this one with your hands on damp hair.

Just the serum on its own — it has 16 actives already, you’d be doubling up and risking buildup. If you have a leave-in or hair butter you love, use those on your lengths. The scalp is the serum’s job. Don’t layer oils up there.
Q.“I don’t comb my hair often, just throw braids in quickly. Will this still work?”
Yes — and honestly it’s better for breakage that way. Spray the leave-in before braiding, then apply the serum to your scalp through the parts on wash day. The routine doesn’t need daily detangling to work. It needs consistency.
Q.“Can I use this if I have locs?”
Yes. The serum works because it goes on the scalp, where growth actually happens — locs or no locs. Spray the leave-in lightly through the lengths after washing to keep locs from going dry and brittle. Don’t saturate, just mist.
